FTL and LTL

The various forms of transportation available today provide businesses with opportunities to enhance or expand their operations.

Trucking

FTL (Full Truckload) and LTL (Less than Truckload) are distinct transportation services that have variations in cargo size, pricing, handling, and transit time. The choice between FTL and LTL shipping is contingent upon factors such as the dimensions and characteristics of your shipment, the specific delivery criteria, and the financial resources available. Both FTL and LTL have distinct benefits and drawbacks. Selecting the appropriate solution guarantees the punctual and secure transportation of your merchandise. Trucking is still the most consistent and valued mode of transportation economically when looking at shipments moved less than 2,000 miles in 2023.

FTL

FTL is a viable choice in which items maximize the trailer’s capacity. The truck and trailer will transport the complete load from one site to another without any additional pauses.  FTL shipping offers a notable benefit in terms of its expedited and integrated approach to transporting substantial volumes of merchandise.

LTL

LTL shipments are smaller in size and share space on the trailer with other palletized loads. The main advantage of LTL shipping is that it is a more cost-effective option for smaller shipments. LTL also offers flexible delivery options, with various stops allowed along the way.
